Professional background

I have been a Serial Entrepreneur since the late 1970's.

I started from scratch and sold my first company to a healthcare subsidiary of Ladbrokes (Gable House) in November 1987 at the age of 34.

I started and sold my 2nd company in 1993 at age 40 to a Nasdaq listed healthcare company (Integrated Health Services), which later became listed on the New York Dow.

I then lived in the Channel Islands for a few years and started from scratch a childcare nursery company called Bright Horizons, which I sold in 2001 age 48 to a listed company (Nord Anglia Education). Bright Horizons is now the 2nd largest Nursery group in the UK.

I then started a development company in the Caribbean which ultimately failed due to a corrupt government demanding money for the granting of planning permission for a large Hotel/ Condominium resort.

I sold my last business (a 1600 acre eco resort) 18 months ago and decided to semi retire.

Areas of Expertise

Management and growth of companies from start ups to PLCs and listed companies. Extensive background in healthcare, childcare, hospitality/hotels and commercial property.
Would be averse to total silent investment and would like to assist the company to achieve its aims, so provision of good financials, understanding of management and growth and board meeting attendance is imperative for me to feel comfortable with any investment.
